Clean energy technologies are already transforming our energy systems and growing the U.S. economy. According to the U.S. Department of Energy, the U.S. market for wind power is one of the biggest and fastest growing in the world, and the demand for solar energy is at an all-time high. UW–Madison economists work to model and understand these changes, studying our demand for energy, energy supply, energy markets, and the policies affecting those markets.
