Student Organizations

A number of student organizations on campus are focused on some aspect of energy research and innovation. While eHub is most closely aligned with the Wisconsin Energy Institute, here we've assembled a list of all UW–Madison student organizations related to energy. You can also search the campus student organization directory.


ASHRAE is UW–Madison student chapter focusing on energy efficiency and controlled building environments. Each year, ASHRAE holds a competition in HVAC, energy, and sustainability for students to compete against other chapters and schools nationwide.

Energy Hub (eHub)

Energy Hub is a student-run organization through which UW–Madison students can explore and discuss the future of energy. Ehub seeks to connect students and student organizations, make energy events and information more accessible to students, and provide a forum for open discussion of energy issues.


WiscWind is a UW–Madison student organization participating in the U.S. Department of Energy Collegiate Wind Competition by designing, building, and testing a deployable wind turbine prototype.
