Day in the Life: George Huber

After acquiring his PhD here at the University of Wisconsin-Madison almost nine years ago, George Huber has since spent his time as a professor of chemical and biological engineering both leading his own research group and teaching young minds the fundamental principles of chemical engineering. Among many, Huber collaborates with both graduate students on campus and researchers across the world to achieve four major goals for his research: develop the technology to make cheap, renewable gasoline, diesel fuel, jet fuel and chemicals. With the challenge of making them economically viable, Huber and his team strive to make these products out of biomass and other renewable resources.
