Assistant Scientist
Wisconsin Energy Institute
Nuoendagula is an assistant scientist in John Ralph’s lab at the Wisconsin Energy Institute and Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC). Nuoendagula’s research focuses on understanding the molecular mechanisms of lignin and plant secondary cell wall biosynthesis at both the evolutionary and developmental levels, and using a combination of molecular biology, genetics, and biochemistry to contribute to biofuels production and value-added lignin by engineering enzymes and poplar plants.
Research Interests
- Lignin/ Plant cell wall biosynthesis
- Development of synthetic methods for biofuels and bioproducts
- Lignocellulosics bioprocessing
