Jaal Ghandhi's research focuses on the turbulent mixing and combustion processes that take place in internal combustion engines and other power generating devices. His research involves experimental investigations of engine performance coupled with detailed in-cylinder optical measurements that provide further insights into the physical processes. His work encompasses small utility engines, automotive gasoline and diesel engines, heavy-duty engines as well as fundamental spray and mixing experiments.
