Comparing EU and US Regulations in Promoting Access to Electric Transmission

About the Talk
Both the US and EU have adopted regulations that seek to open the electric transmission grids to independent suppliers of electricity. This has resulted in significant divestitures in the EU and a complex regulatory system in the U.S. Thus, similar goals are being implemented in different ways. This will be an informal presentation of Dr. Herrera-Anchustegui's initial comparisons with an emphasis on the ways in which the EU is seeking to achieve a more open market.
