UW–Madison mechanical engineering professor Mark Anderson is building a test facility to improve the design and potentially lower the cost of future solar power plants. Alstom Power, a global energy company with significant interests in the solar power market, is donating the majority of the test facility's building components. Together, Alstom and Anderson hope to increase the efficiency of solar power plants.
