UW Science Expeditions: Destination for Exploration

Come explore UW–Madison – your public land-grant research university – and experience science as exploring the unknown. Talk with researchers, visit science venues across campus, enjoy our Science Spectacular Show, and try your hand at our interactive Science explorations stations.

This year, join WEI from 12:00-3:00 PM as a destination for exploration with the following stations (and a few surprises):

  • A wind turbine design station with WiscWind
  • GLBRC bacteria research: What bacteria eat and how they make fuel
  • See how much electricity you can muster on our #PedalPower MG&E bike
  • Are you more like a bacterium or a yeast? Find out in our "Which Switchgrass Microbe Are You" personality quiz
  • Get down to the root of what goes on below the ground in our root exploration station

You can also take a guided tour of our building at 1:00 and 2:00 PM.
