From Prairie Plants, to Birds, to Bugs: Biodiversity on the Agroecological Landscape
Biodiversity brings many benefits to our environment. Through the production of perennial bioenergy crops that are species rich, we can greatly enhance our agro-ecological landscape. A diversity of plant species allows for a greater variety of animals, including birds and insects. This exploration station will allow for participants to build their own prairie bouquet and explore insect specimens that would be associated with these species. Printed material on this topic, and the work of the Great Lakes Bioenergy Research Center (GLBRC) will also be available for visitors to this station.
