Case Studies and Data Security in Power Grid Sustainability Analysis

In a free public seminar at 3:30 PM on Monday, November 7, in room 1115 of the Wisconsin Energy Institute, UW–Madison professor of electrical and computer engineering Chris DeMarco will discuss the security of electrical power grid data and the creation of public, open-source, synthetic case studies that can be used to advance optimal grid operation. DeMarco’s research focuses on enabling the large-scale evolution of the power grid, including facilitating and optimizing the integration of solar and wind energy and improving energy storage technologies.
