Majumder’s training spans chemistry, protein biochemistry, metabolomics, and biogeochemistry. She specializes in characterizing and utilizing environmental microbial metabolism for sustainability and One Health issues, including using natural and engineered microorganisms to convert agricultural and industrial residues into biodegradable polymers and copolymers to replace conventional plastics.
