North Crawford students get hands-on learning about energy

SOLDIER’S GROVE, Wis. — Students in Lisa Andresen’s science class are taking a hands-on approach to learning about renewable energy.

The class, which has about 10 sixth-through-10-grade students at the North Crawford K12 school, has been learning about solar, wind and other forms of energy. Andresen said the students are also learning about prairie restoration and working in the school’s gardens as part of the class.

“It’s a year-long study on energy and how we use that energy,” she said.
