Day in the Life: Paul Wilson

After becoming a faculty member at UW-Madison some 13 years ago, Paul Wilson is a professor of nuclear engineering in the engineering physics department. Day to day, he spends his time molding the minds of up-and-coming nuclear engineers with the end goal of making nuclear energy a sustainable energy source. With a team of graduate students, his research group writes robust software for modeling complex nuclear energy systems that can be used to transform the way we understand nuclear energy.
