This talk will be given by Brent Sohngen, a Professor of Agricultural & Developmental Economics at Ohio State. The talk will discuss develops a dynamic forest sector in a Computable General Equilibrium model. Previous land use models showed an economic/biological link but did not account for the dynamics of forest management. Timber producers make land use decisions by converting forests to alternative uses or incorporate open land into timber production. 3rd Floor Teaching Lab (3280B), Discovery Building, 330 N.
