We currently have an opportunity for a CAD Designer in our Madison, WI office.
Responsibilities will include assuming support and lead technical roles for a wide variety of civil/renewable energy projects. Typical projects may include permitting, design, and construction of renewable energy facilities (solar and wind typical), electrical and civil design work for infrastructure and energy facilities.
Qualified candidates will be highly motivated and detail-oriented and have a minimum of 3 years civil or electrical design experience. Having experience in Civil3D is a plus, including being proficient in road corridor modeling, preparing site grading plans, preparing volume computations, development of horizontal and vertical alignments, and generating coordinate geometry outputs for surveyors. Electrical design or detailing experience is also a plus that can be utilized for infrastructure/energy collection design for renewable energy power plants, such as Solar Plants or Wind Farms. Strong communication skills and the ability to work within a Team to accomplish project objectives are required. Demonstrated ability to produce work efficiently and develop improved means of executing work is a strong plus. GIS experience, construction experience and technical writing skills are a plus.
